Yesterday our new batch of TAP students headed down to Pinnaroo park to meet up with Scott, our local master didgeridoo player! It was a beautiful day in the sunshine with kookaburras in the trees nearby and ducks splashing in the pond right behind us! Scott was waiting with all his modern and traditional didgeridoos and impressed the students with his awesome skills! He told aboriginal stories and tried to convey the importance of keeping aboriginal culture alive. Soon the students had a go on their own practice didgeridoos and they had a great time! They learned how to make unique sounds and in the end, they all played a song together. Good stuff!
