Today our TAP General students headed down to Noosa Main Beach to meet up with the famous Surf Life Saving Club. They were greeted by the friendly life-saving staff and were given a tour of the area. The students were able to see the cool life-saving equipment that the lifeguards use whenever they have to rescue people in the water. They were allowed up into the guard tower to get a birds-eye view of the beach and then played the well-known Aussie game, ‘Flags’ down on the sand. To finish off the tour and exercises, the students were taught the appropriate ways to run into the water and what techniques to use when rescuing persons from the sea. What fun!
