Kindai Students Rip it up at their Surf Lesson.

The swell was pumping on Saturday at most of the points around the Noosa National Park, and the Kindai students had the chance to learn to surf in these conditions. With a cyclone slowing making its way down the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Queensland, Noosa is the place to be for any keen surfer. The Maroochydore Kindai students joined with Noosa Kindai Students and headed down to Main Beach for their lesson. The groups were split up into two, one group learning how to body board while the other learning how to surf before swapping over. With their theory surf lesson on the beach, students learnt; where to lie on the board, how to paddle and finally the ‘3 step move’ for standing on a surf board.

Most student’s picked up surfing straight away, and even began to paddle onto waves themselves!!

With surfing, you cant have all standing without any wipe outs…. and these are just a few that I saw on the day 😉

The students also had a awesome time body boarding, however I get the feeling the instructor, Jimmy, was enjoying the body boarding even more than the students 😉

It was a lovely day to be down the beach and out in the water ripping it up and learning to surf. The Kindai students seemed to have a wonderful day and hopefully will continue to surf in their spare time!
