It was an early start on Thursday and the students were a great help cleaning out the weeds and overgrown vegetation. They sang a Japanese song for the other volunteers then the volunteers sang Waltzing Matilda!
The students and teachers headed back to school, and the students wrote a recount of their National Park exploration on Wednesday and then they spoke about it.
They also played a game where they had to ask each other questions about ‘In your country…’. They prepared for their visit to Eumundi Markets on Saturday and they are going to present their experience to the class next Tuesday. After lunch they learned about Australian animals and Australia Zoo.
One of the students celebrated their 16th Birthday too, so their teacher Kay pretended Ami had to take a test while her classmates decorated the room. They all sang Happy Birthday and ate cake.
It was a lovely day!
