Yesterday the TAPs met up with Shelly, Bailey and Don from the Noosa Surf Club to learn about beach safety and have a go at some Surf Life Saving activities! First up they got an exclusive view of the beach from the top of the lifeguard tower, followed by a quick crash course on staying safe on Australian beaches. It was then time for students to hop into the surf and practice their “dolphin dives” and board skills. Italian surfers Andrea and Pierfilippo even got to catch some waves into shore! Back on the beach they competed against each other in Flags, with Julian winning the boys’ competition and Zoe winning the girls!
All students put in their best efforts for the activities and showed off some impressive surf skills – awesome work everyone!!
