On Wednesday afternoon, the TAP students headed down to the beach with Merrick’s surf school.  Merrick, a professional surfer and world champion, has been operating his surf school with an excellent team of coaches for many years now.  Yesterday’s group was the latest group of Lexis students to be schooled in the surfing arts by the champ and his staff.  They had a great time learning proper technique and style when cruising the waves.  Within the hour, students were able to stand up and catch their own waves with excellent encouragement from their peers and coaches! Sweeeet!! The students are looking forward to next week’s surf session so they can get back into the water and improve their skills. 🙂
