Surf Life Saving

Today, the students had a chance to interact with the local beach lifeguards in Noosa. The purpose of this activity is to create surf awareness among the students who visit the area, so when they use our beautiful beaches they do it safely. The lifeguard explained the beach signs, before taking the students on a tour of the lifeguard tower.

After this, it was time to hit the water and practice paddling on a rescue board and then attempting a rescue. Those who did not want to enter the water, were able to take part in beach flags, a regular activity for junior surf life savers. Thank you to Noosa Surf Life Saving Club for running this Surf Awareness activity 🙂IMG_0999IMG_1000
