A typical winters days down in Noosa today. The sun was out shinning and a nice light offshore wind was blowing, which are ideal conditions for surfing. The lucky TAP students had their first opportunity to experience the Aussie Beach Culture, with their first surf lesson down on Noosa Main Beach.
The session began with some surf safety on identifying rips and currents, swimming safely between the flags and what to do if you get in trouble in the ocean. They then began learning techniques on a surfboard; where to lie, how to paddle and finally how to stand on their surf board.
The students all hit the water, eager to catch some waves. Simon, from France showed the surf school his current surf abilities, by paddling out on his own and catching his first wave with no problems at all.
The girls (Luisa, Caroline and Julie) all soon followed by standing up straight away on their first waves! Absolutely charging TAPs, what a great first day surfing!
