Yuki and Hiroki’s homestay experience!

Yuki and Hiroki’s homestay family kindly contacted us and this is what they had to say…

“We took Yuki and Hiroki from the ECC junior group to Noosa Main Beach and they loved it – they both broke into enormous smiles (the first time I saw them smile) when they hit the water and they played for hours.  After dinner both were quite tired and fell asleep for the night early.

The following morning we treated the boys to an Aussie brekkie – Vegimite on crumpets– (photo below of Hiroki’s face just after he tried it – definitely not for him)!  Yuki tried it first, and was equally unimpressed but I didn’t have the camera ready to catch his expression – they both pulled such a funny face – I think the taste was a big surprise for them.  Needless to say, they had the rest of their crumpets without Vegemite and seemed to like them.  I am going to send some Vegemite home with them to their families, so they can try it too.”

Thank you Carthy Family giving such a great care to our students, we can see Vegemite was definitely not for Hiroki. It will be interesting to see how their families in Japan react when they try Vegemite!
