After Lyndon’s Aboriginal Cultural Presentation, Hiyoshigaoka HS students had a dot painting session.
The students learnt that Aborigines use artwork to explain their laws and to tell their stories and traditions. They drew in the sand and painted on cave walls, artifacts and weapons, as well as on their bodies. They use symbols to represent their food, people, places and ideas. Here are some of their creations, very nice and colorful!
