Izumisano City students gave a presentation on Japanese culture to the residents at Hibiscus Retirement Resort in Noosa.
Each student introduced themselves in English and tour leader Katsunori gave a talk on their hometown and traditional Japanese culture. They then sang some songs and had the residents sing along with them. After the presentation the residents interacted with the students and played the traditional game of Fukawari, Japanese calligraphy, tried some japanese sweets and also tried out some Japanese toys. Hibiscus was kind enough to provide some traditional Australian cake, Lamingtons, for the students to try. It was a great afternoon and everyone went away learning something new about Japanese and Australian culture.
