Today Hiyoshigaoka students learnt about the Australian Aborigines. They learnt about their culture, musical instruments and the way they lived from the land.
Aborigines are the first Australians and indigenous people of the land. They loved the land and respected all the parts of life and living with nature. They collected foods from the land and hunted wild animals for food with spears and sticks.
Students enjoyed the presentation from Lyndon who is an Aborigine with a family heritage from the Sunshine Coast known as the Gubbi Gubbi people.
Lyndon played the Didgeridoo for the students and taught them how to throw a boomerang.
Thank you Lyndon for a great presentation.
