Boating In Noosa River

Yesterday afternoon Hiyoshigaoka students and teachers enjoyed pontoon boating and canoeing on the beautiful Noosa River.

“All aboard!” was the call from teachers Nathan and Marty and before you knew it, all of the students were on the two boats and ready to cast off the bow lines and set out for an afternoon of boating on the river.

Students took turns in driving the boats with the supervision of the teachers and navigated their way through the river.  Some of the first time boat drivers found it difficult to keep the boat going in a straight direction.

First we drove up river towards the Noosa Marina and then we turned around into the wind and made our way towards the river mouth.

Students laughed and sang as we motored past some of Noosa’s prestige water front real estate.  Everyone was happy that the sun was shining and the conditions were perfect for a day on the water.

We took a short break back on dry land at the Noosa Lions Park.  Students were happy with the opportunity to get some photos as a group and with their friends.
