ELITE (English Language Immersion for Teens) Program is a new program that started in August this year.

Students attend regular lessons such as maths and social studies with Australian students during school hours then have a 1 hour English Support class each afternoon, where GV English teachers enhance language development by providing extra support materials and assistance with practical matters such as homework.

Caleine was our first ELITE student from France this year…

Caleine says “The first day at Peregian Beach College, I found very difficult. Australian students speak very fast! During the Elite program I have gained a lot and lot and lot from Australian students. I have learned colloquial expressions! Studying subjects in English was still hard but the small class size, friendly environment helped me to learn through 2 weeks.”

Caleine attended 1 week TAP at the Noosa campus to settle in before moving into the ELITE program. Students are welcome to combine the two programs where they can learn English first to build confidence before attending the local school, and also to experience various activities that Noosa has to offer. She says it  was great to attend TAP to meet international students all over the world and she is still in touch with them.
