Enjoying the Sunshine Coast

A perfect day out began with Kangaroo sightings close to the township of Eumundi, where we visited and enjoyed the local markets.

Josei Gakuen students confidentally interviewed local stall holders about their products and indulged in some shopping.  After an extended shopping experience, it was time for some Sunshine Coast nature and outdoor adventure.

They climbed Mount Coolum, a challenging test for our students and teachers, although all twelve students and accompanying teachers  were able to reach the summit.  The group was awarded at the top of their climb with beautiful views of the Eastern beaches and to the West, Coastal Hinterland, a truly magnificent experience.

The next day was spent at Peregian Beach College, where the Queensland Art Council put on a great show for the students.  It is truly amazing how much can be said without words, the presentation of  mime, masks and facial expressions can say so much.  Josei students attended music, art and physical education lessons in mixed classes with Australian students, who learned a thing or two about Japanese Katakana, Hiragana and Kanji.
