Shooting Hoops and Climbing Walls

For TAP students at Global Village Noosa, school is about shooting hoops and climbing walls!

Today’s activity took us to the Leisure Centre.  31 teenage students shared an afternoon of climbing and dodging at the Noosa Leisure Centre.  The group was divided into two groups, one group played basketball while the other group tested their abilities in rock climbing.

Activity coordinator Cindy explained the basketball rules and the teams were ready to play.  Only a few of them had played the game before but this didn’t stop the  two teams scoring high points.  Everyone showed good sportsmanship and were very interested in playing the game.

Jasmin watched over the rock climbing group who carefully listened to their instructors from Total Adventures.  After a short introduction on how to wear the harness belt and how to secure their partner, our students started to climb the walls!  Some students managed to climb very high to the centre of the ceiling.  Even those who were scared of heights fought their phobia.
