Kindai Students and TAP students from Global Village Noosa, joined together in a day tour adventure to Movie World on the weekend.
It was an early start for students who wanted to see Hollywood on the Gold Coast. The group set out for a day of fun and adventure at the theme park that is designed with rides and shows all geared to be part of action and blockbuster movies from Warner Brothers.
On arrival we were struck by Super Hero’s as we entered the golden arch way. The students were snapping photos and were very excited. Kindai Teacher Ms Takeda and the students joined GV activity guide Nathan, to watch the ‘Hollywood Stunt Driver’ Show. An amazing display of driving skills that stunt car drivers use while making car chase scenes for movies.
The day was amazing and students were able to ride Escape the Superman roller coaster, actually the world’s fastest roller coaster. All I can say is, “WOW!!” If you like a good adrenaline rush, this ride is a must! Other rides included The ‘Batwing’ from Batman, offering a bird’s eye view of the theme park and the ‘Scooby Doo Ride’, a spooky adventure, watch out for the axes swinging overhead, straight after there is a photo snapped of your carriage.
One of the old favourite attractions, the ‘Wild Wild West,’ was also popular among the students. It seems to be a lot wetter these days, as your log boat plummets down into the water from a tremendous height simulating a waterfall style fall. Water is sprayed all over everyone aboard your boat.
The day was a great success with many tired and worn out students on the bus ride home.
