Josei Gakuen arrived at Brisbane Airport on Friday morning, where they were greeted by a bronzed Aussie.
Students and accompanying staff Mr Tomoyuki and Principal Ms Horiguchi were photographed beneath the Red and Yellow flags, which actually represent the safest place to swim on our beaches in Australia.
The new students were then transferred to Peregian Beach College on the Sunshine Coast were they were greeted by excited students and teachers with a welcoming Australian style barbecue.
Over lunch they enjoyed making new friends and were placed into buddies with an Australian student from the college. Both groups of students from Japan and Australia were very happy with their new-found friendships and are looking forward to studying with each other over the next three weeks.
After making new friends it was time to leave the college and head to the beautiful, Coolum Beach.
As the bus drove down the hill and the ocean came into sight, students called out in amazement with cries of joy, excited by the big blue Pacific Ocean right in front of them.
The group walked down to the beach and along the Coolum board walk, taking photographs and marvelling at the amazing views from the headlands and outlooks of Coolum Beach.
