A collection of woody, citrus and flowery aromas filled the air and tickled noses last Friday when TAP Juniors were busy making body spray in the kitchen using perfect potion essential oils.
The students were shown by Rachel and Jo from Ezili, how to mix some common ingredients with essential oils together to make a personalised body perfume spray. The students could choose to make a blend from one of the six combinations below.
Body Spray Blends
Exam buster Blend – Lavender 3 drops, Chamomile 1 drop, Geranium 2 drops & Mandarin 3 drops
I’m a Rock Star Blend – Rose 5 drops (if diluted in Jojoba), Grapefruit 5 drops & Neroli 5 drops (if diluted in Jojoba)
Make Me Picasso blend – Lavender 3 drops, Orange 2 drops, Patchouli 2 drops & Sandalwood 3 drops
Sacred Teenage Blend (Females) – Rose 7 drops, Geranium 2 drops, Marjoram 2 drops & Sandalwood 2 drops
Sacred Teenage Blend (Males) – Cedar wood 4 drops, Marjoram 2 drops & Bergamot 3 drops
Most of the students mixed up the ‘Exam Buster’ blend. Apparently it will help them improve concentration. If you’re interested in making perfumed body spray the recipe is outlined below.
