Anyone would have thought it was summer. The sun shone high in the blue sky and it was obvious the bronzed surfers weren’t bothered about the water climate as they paraded for onlookers, wave after wave. The outdoor types including students from GV Noosa, were stripping off long-sleeved jackets as they strolled the breathtaking East Coast of Noosa’s National Park.
The weather conditions were a perfect surfers dream. There was no sign of any onshore wind and the waves of aqua green set up the bays of Noosa National Park as a prime wave fun park for the passionate local surfers. Gently, the waves would roll inward from headland to sandy beach, lightly washing over the stones of Tea Tree and Granite Bay.
Young Global Village students took part on this beautiful day and made new friends with their peers from all around the world. From every angle a photo could be taken. From First Point the students had views of Noosa Main Beach and the North Shore not far in the distance. There were surfers riding stand up paddles, long boards and short boards right in front and by keeping an eye upward on the big gum trees, Nadia, their ‘funtastic’ coordinator, was lucky enough to point out a fair dinkum’ Australian Koala. Photographs will never quite capture the true beauty and bewilderment the students discovered, when they visited Noosa National Park, one of Australia’s most dreamy locations.
