This week Global Village Byron Bay welcomed its first Junior Study Group, Hatsushiba Hashimoto High School from Osaka, Japan. 

GV Byron Bay campus were not the only ones to greet the new students, rays of sunshine and dolphins made it a special welcoming for the Hatsushiba Hashimoto High School, Principal Masateru Uesato & Teacher Ms Yoko Kaihori.  Everyone was surprised how warm it was even in winter time and gradually took off layers of clothes as the sun rose. 

Some students took advantage of the nice weather and enjoyed playing badminton in the back yard.  Hatsushiba High School student Hideki paired up with Byron’s new French TAP student Clare, they were the winning team.  In the afternoon, the whole school welcomed the group with a BBQ.  What a fantastic start for Hatsushiba Hashimoto Students.
